Dear members of the LEAD family,we are all back at our desks in London ready to tackle the challenges of the new year with energy and determination. We have all been terribly saddened by the tragedy of the Tsunami and its aftermath although relieved that apparently no immediate members of the LEAD network have been hurt. We hope also that your families and friends are safe and well.

Our friends in LEAD Indonesia and LEAD India are deeply involved in the relief operations and we send them our heartfelt sympathies and support. We have asked the Directors of both Member Programs to tell us if there are specific ways in which we can be helpful. I am sure you join us in our offer of support. We will begin to reflect seriously on ways our network could be more effective in case such tragedies occur again, and ideas about this from any of you would be very welcome.

For now, our prayers and thoughts are with the victims and their families and communities.
