Mais de 130 integrantes da 12ª turma do Programa LEAD (Liderança para o Meio Ambiente e o Desenvolvimento), representada no Brasil pelo Redesenvolvimento 2007, redigiram e divulgaram, ao final do Seminário Internacional “Liderança e Mudança Climática”, uma declaração conjunta que apela à necessidade de um novo tipo de liderança capaz de enfrentar os desafios impostos pelas alterações no clima.

HSBC Investments has launched the ‘HSBC GIF Sustainability Leaders Fund’, an innovative investment fund focusing on European multinational companies that HSBC considers to be leaders in sustainable development. The fund has been developed with LEAD, an international not-for-profit organisation focused on leadership and sustainable development. Click here for details.

The University of St Andrews and ConocoPhillips have announced the call for entries for the ninth international St Andrews Prize for the Environment. Applications are invited from individuals, multi-disciplinary teams or community groups for the 2007 annual prize of $50,000 USD for the winner and $10,000 USD for each of the two runners-up. Anyone wishing to enter the 2007 prize should submit a single page project summary of no more than 500 words by 31 October 2006.

LEAD International has approved in its 2006 Special Opportunities Investment Fund a grant to a LEAD Brazil project. The overall goal of Mobilizing the Network 2006 is to enhance the impact and sustainability of LEAD Brazil by mobilizing the network and partnering with Fellows.
